New Tab (Ctrl+T) bug w/ sorting in default/non-reverse order

With the following settings I have experienced an issue when opening a new tab (i.e., with Ctrl+T).

[X] Enable (ticked/checked)
Group tabs by: "Hostname (G)"
Separator width: "0"
Sort tabs by: "hostname"
[_] Reverse direction (unticked/unchecked)

When the new tab is opened, both the previously selected tab and the new blank tab appear selected and active; however, the previously selected tab takes precedence in that when entering a (presumably different) URL in the address bar that will replace what was on the previously selected tab instead of opening it on the new (blank) tab.

The only way for me to workaround this is to Check/Tick the Reverse direction option under Tab Sorting, or manually click to a non-selected tab, then click on the new (blank) tab, before entering in the new URL to navigate to.

I can't seem to reproduce this. Could be a compatibility problem with another extension. If you could identity what one I'd be happy to look into it and see if I can provide a fix. ;)

(Tip: the MR Tech Toolkit extension might make this a lot easier with its 'Disable/Enable All')

Fixed that bug with the options dialog not loading the proper saved value for 'Reverse direction'. As for this bug... I'll try to get to some generic compatibility troubleshooting with Tab Mix Plus since that's a popular one. Might help.

Sorry to put the burden on you guys, if I could get lists of extensions I wouldn't mind investigating it myself. ;) Maybe scroll down to the 'Email me' link here: http://codeoptimism.net/blog/ and use that since it'd probably be too long for here. :/

@Cococokie You have to tell me what extension is causing the compatibility problem first before I can fix it. ;p

Ick a blatant bug!! Well that will be fixed since it only takes a second.
Another user is having this problem on my blog. I invited him here to collaborate. I of course prioritize bug fixes and they're typically fast and easy as well.

The only semi-related issue is the reverse order/direction preference is not reflected by the GUI when opening the settings dialog; specifically, it always appears unchecked/disabled, instead of checked/enabled, regardless if I manually enabled it before--and it was actually sorting correctly; however, if I save again without reapplying the preference, it will revert to the default sorting order.

Well, with 91 enabled of the original 118, I've not been able to reproduce it again; however, I will see if I can find the cause once I have more time to test the remaining (less important) extensions that were previously enabled.

After disabling all extensions, and slowly re-enabling them, the problem has not resurfaced; I have 200 extensions in all, with 84 of them disabled before disabling all of them.

I'm slowly working my way through each one to find out which extensions is conflicting here.

I'll see what I can find out for you; I do have a lot of other extensions so that's certainly a possibility.

When the extension is disabled using its own GUI (the "Disable" option it has), the bug is not reproducible; it only appears when actively using the extension.

To clarify further, a blank tab is shown, but the URL in the address bar still shows that of the previously selected tab instead of [nothing] for the new (blank/empty) tab.
