Make it easier for people to find your add-on
Even if someone knows the name of your add-on, entering "group/sort tabs" in the Tools/Add-ons/Get Add-ons dialog produces the result "No Matching Add-ons."

Exclude search engines from sorting
Whenever i search on google, all the google pages come together (as i'm currently using sort by hostname), so if possible we could exclude websites, like search engines (google.com)?

Stops working when Firefox re-opens
When I close and re-open Firefox, the tab groups aren't saved even though my browsing session is. All the tabs that were colored and sorted when I closed Firefox are gray. Also, grouping doesn't work for any new tabs I open in that window. I either have to disable-restart-enable-restart, like som... more
Status: plannedThanks for the feedback. Yeah, I know what this is. Merely a failure to kick in the sort. (The groups/colors/etc. are saved, just a sort hasn't occurred to restore them.) This problem is being fixed. :) Sorry for the inconvenience! :)

Have to disable/enable to work
When starting Firefox, everytime I have to go to AddOns disable and reenable the addon to work, otherwise it not works, tabs appears normal.
Status: under reviewDoes it say "Loading tabs..." when you right click the tab bar? Sounds like it's choked on some special tab format, similar to an "about:config" or an FTP open or some such, but not these.
These could have possibly been created by another extension as well, or it simply be an incompatibility.
This sort of thing can be fixed but I'd need to know your extensions and open tabs.
Alternatively you could just hold tight, I'm working on an update that I *think* should completely eliminate this problem for everyone, and improve other things! :)

improve sorting of new tabs: open *in* position instantly per tab & no 'loading' delay for several
Add new code to handle the sorting of new tables differently, instead of a full sort, which is necessary in many instances (alteration of group/sort method) assume our list is in order, and pop the new tab immediately into position.
No more "loading" delay when opening a whole group, a... more
Status: startedWhy that's a fantastic suggestion Christopher! I'm glad we and Peri from the mozilla review thought of it!

Introduce new, windows7-like tab browsing
It would be great if it could conbine all tabs from the same hostname together, into one icon, and when moving mouse over it, it displays thumbnails all tabs in this icon...Just like windows 7!
I will keep this very much in mind when considering adding group collapse support.

add collapse/expand support for groups
Allow double clicking on a tab in a tab group (or some other interaction) to collapse all the tabs in that group under the clicked tab. There'd be an indication of the collapsed state.
Double clicking a collapsed tab would re-expand the group.
(This is a feature executed *very* well by the Tab ... more
Status: plannedThis isn't a priority right now until the main features (grouping, sorting, manually rearranging tabs, group stuff, one-time sorts, context menu) are finished and polished.

improve subdomain support (i.e. 'xyz' of 'xyz.google.com')
Perhaps supply an option for whether tabs should be sorted/grouped based on the entire domain: 'xyz.google.com', or just the root domain: 'google.com'
Or we could take it a little farther and be site specific or something. I don't know. That's why I need your help. ;)

Status: plannedA "group all *.google.com" for example in tab context menu of a images.google.com or maps.google.com seems like a really nice way to do this. With option to reverse it as well.

new Tab (i.e. ctrl+t) in new group (IE8-Mode)
If you create a new Tab (i.e. ctrl+t) in IE8-Mode or open an external link, the new Tab should be in a new Group an not added to the old one.
Normally only links that I follow belongs to an group...otherwise a great addon!

Tab Mix Plus, Tab focus
In Tab Mix Plus, I have the option set to give focus the tab on the left, after closing a tab.
After installing Group/Sort Tabs, the tab to the left of the closed tab still gets focus, but the view shifts to the end of the tab bar, so I cant see the focused tab.
This moving of the view to the e... more

Alternately, please give some idea of a timeline for an update. :)

fix incompatibility with Tab Mix Plus
just installed on ff 3.5 but after setting options and Applying and opening new tab, no color change. I'm assuming this is incompatibility with Tab Mix Plus.
Status: under reviewHi there! Just tried Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.2 (latest at this time) alongside Group/Sort Tabs 2.0.0 (no other extensions activated) and coloring seems to work just fine.
It's group coloring and not tab coloring, which means it doesn't kick in until you've actually made a group (two or more tabs fitting the grouping criteria). Could this have been it?
If you disable Tab Mix Plus, does the problem persist? If you can update me we'll work together and get this fixed for you. :)
